Last year was a year when nobody knew what was real in politics. In response, Germany's Free Democrats made a statement for the truth with The Dark Diaries – a documentary by renowned war photographer Daniel Rosenthal. Providing a brutally honest insight into the general election campaign, it was unfiltered with fights, arguments and attacks from the radical right wing. The election saw a historic gains for the small party.
