This noodle product is made with “hand-extending” technique, a traditional Japanese noodle making method.
This method does not use a knife, not even once, to cut the noodle but extend it repeatedly to make it thinner and hang it from a bamboo rod for drying.
A paper package containing the noodle is clamped with pieces of bamboo at both ends and fastened with rubber bands. This coloring prevents the shades from looking dark but expresses gentle cream color of the noodle. The package in the motif of a traditional Japanese noodle making method which is vanishing gradually.
