The New York Times Magazine / High Life
Yellow Pencil / Magazine & Newspaper Design / Consumer Magazines / 2017
Brief:
A special themed issue of the magazine about life above 800ft in New York.
Solution & Cultural Context:
Inspired by the rising skyline of our city, the New York Issue: Life above 800 ft. was all about altitude. We rotated the entire magazine (including the crossword and all the ads) 90 degrees to make use of the magazine’s tallest dimension, which enabled stunning vertical photography and custom type drawn to fit the height of the new format.
Audience & Distribution:
Our magazine is a weekly publication distributed in the Sunday edition of The New York Times.
