Usain Bolt | Boy Who Learned to Fly | Gatorade
Wood Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Animation for Film Advertising / 2017
Solution & Cultural Context
People don’t get to spend much time with Usain Bolt. They see him compete for about 10 seconds and then he’s gone. So in general, they only know him in a superficial way—that he’s fast and he jokes around. We decided to tell the deeper story of Usain Bolt and let everyone know the real reason why he’s the way he is. To do this we wanted to take our time. So we created a seven-minute biographical film that was animated to reflect Usain’s animated personality.
