#Paintback
Yellow Pencil / Branding / Brand Experience & Environments / 2017
Spring 2016. While Berlin citizens welcome refugees with open arms more and more radicals spread fear spraying Nazi tags all over the city, giving graffiti a bad name. While bureaucracy couldn’t tackle the problem artists took up a stance. Supported by their community's favourite paint they encouraged people: Let’s #PaintBack.
Swastikas, symbols of hate, were changed into graffiti pieces of joy. They were turned into flower pots, animals, flies, busting bubbles. And through graffiti, open-mindedness reclaimed the streets.
