Clever Buoy
Wood Pencil / Product Design / Innovative Product Design / 2016
Australia has the most fatal shark attacks in the world. In 2014 the situation was so bad the West Australian Government began culling all large sharks, despite public outrage.
Sharks are known as a keystone species, meaning they are extremely important to keeping the delicate food chain in balance. The removal of even a few from an environment can have devastating affects.
Clever Buoy was born out of a brief to improve the perception of the Optus Network. Since then it has grown into a fully-fledged product that aims to protect humans from sharks and sharks from humans.
