Each day 22 veterans take their own life, making suicide, not war, the leading cause of death in the military. This means that our deadliest battlefields aren’t abroad. They’re here at home.
So we decided to take America to the front lines of our most dangerous war. After nearly two decades away, we brought famed war photographer, David Guttenfelder, back to photograph battlefields deadlier than those abroad—the bedrooms, backyards and garages where our veterans have died by suicide.
Our mission: raise awareness of the War at Home.
