Cola-NOBORI
Wood Pencil / Crafts for Design / Illustration for Design / 2016
In celebration of the centenary of the iconic Coca-Cola bottle, the slim bottle was released. In a charity program to encourage art education for children struck by the Great East Japan Earthquake, we created special wrappings for these bottles in Coca-Cola's corporate colors. The earthquake-struck area is known for KOINOBORI (carp banners) raised on Children’s Day wishing kids to lead a happy and healthy life. So the bottles were wrapped with designed traditional Japanese paper and twisted at the bottleneck to make them look like fishtails. We also added eyes to finish off the carp wrapping.
