Morioka Shoten Bookstore
Wood Pencil / Branding / Branding Schemes/Small Organisation / 2016
Morioka Shoten is a tiny bookstore of “a Single Room with a Single Book” in Tokyo. It sells only one book; more precisely, multiple copies of one title that changes weekly, with a small book-inspired art exhibition on the walls. Its minimalistic attitude and well-curated shows attract many visitors from across the globe. Takram, as branding director, created a logo with the address lines and a slogan within, to express its locational value and the importance of a physical venue in the era of digital reading. Here, a blissed talk between readers and authors emerges, as if in a Japanese tearoom.
