To support the rollout of Netflix’s new series, Narcos, we created an immersive storytelling site to explore the founding of the global cocaine trade in the 1960s through to the death of the Medellin Cartel’s leader Pablo Escobar to today’s renaissance of the city of Medellin. We use long-form narrative, documentary-style video, interactive infographics and a quiz to complement the series and engage our audience in a historic and economic look at the rise and fall of the Medellin drug cartel.
