More than merely a place to shop, Livraria Cultura (Library Culture) invites shoppers to stay and socialise in its bright and soothing space. Designed by Studio MK27, the floorplan promotes fluidity and spatial continuity. Books circle the space, supported by orthogonally arranged tables. Glass handrails minimise visual interference while white laminates provide distinguished surfaces. The space lends itself to lectures, conferences and small concerts. Here, visitors not only find the book they're looking for, but are compelled to remain in the space afterwards.
