Spot Against Silence
Wood Pencil / Radio Advertising / Innovative Use of Radio / 2015
In Brazil, 60% of human rights violations go unreported to the authorities, out of fear, shame and ignorance. To inspire victims to break their silence, DM9DDB São Paulo did just that. Radio signals are usually lost inside tunnels. The agency saw this as a great opportunity to raise their voices against silence. They installed FM transmitters inside long tunnels. Then, in partnership with Brazil's biggest radio stations, they ran radio spots encouraging people to report cases of mistreatment to Amnesty International.
