The Poster that Scares Birds
Wood Pencil / Outdoor Advertising / Poster Advertising Campaigns / 2015
Hungry Jack's has over 20 million customers who like to eat their famous fries outdoors. But their enjoyment was being disrupted by unruly birds. A worldwide problem, but particularly pertinent to Australia, birds repeatedly attack our patrons, swooping in to steal their fries. Clemenger BBDO created a visually arresting yet pragmatic solution. Using holographic paper that's scientifically proven to scare birds by refracting sunlight, they produced posters, placed them in store windows, and encouraged patrons to eat nearby. The constant glittering of the posters protects patrons' fries by startling the birds, ensuring they keep their distance.
