Mute. Unmute. Pause
Wood Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Casting for Film Advertising / 2015
In this series of public awareness films from Handloom Picture Company, actor Sumeet Thakur brilliantly realises three different messages. Mute sees Thakur portray a seemingly mute man passionately communicating his frustrations with his government and country. In the end we learn he isn't mute. He doesn't have a voice because he didn't vote. In Unmute, Thakur has regained his voice and speaks with the collective voice of the nation to send a powerful message to India's leaders. In the final video, Pause, Thakur sends a message of peace and love to India's neighbour Pakistan.
