Crabbie's Grand National
Graphite Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Editing for Film Advertising / 2015
With bold direction and sharp editing, sporting rivalry is brilliantly realised in this riotous spot for the 2014 Crabbie's Grand National. The ad is a raucous retelling of the first ever steeplechase, which is said to have been the result of a bet in 1752. An energetic punk soundtrack provided by Cerebral Ballzy serves the action well while contrasting its 18th century setting. At the end of the ad we're pulled into the present day and learn that, when it comes to intense competition, nothing ever changes.
