Kettle
Wood Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Animation for Film Advertising / 2015
Every Christmas, Salvation Army kettles appear on streets and in malls across Canada soliciting donations that will provide food, shelter and clothing to the less fortunate. To demonstrate the transforming power that even a single donations has, Grey Toronto created three simple animations in which a single dollar drastically changes someone's circumstances for the better. In each, a dollar falls into a basket, which weighs it down enough to activate a pulley system that overhauls the scene, turning a mother and daughter suffering through the winter cold, into a mother and daughter equipped for its perils.
