Celebrate
Graphite Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Use of Music for Film Advertising / 2015
In 1964 the first anti-drink driving advert was launched. 50 years of campaigning later, the number of deaths caused by drink driving has dropped from 1,640 a year to just 230. Whilst this is a significant reduction, it remains plaintively obvious that 230 deaths is still 230 too many.
Throughout the film, various emergency services reluctantly sing the song ‘Celebrate’ by ‘Kool and The Gang’ whilst performing their duties. The message is clear; there is no place for celebration until the number of drink driving deaths is zero.
