Water Billboard
Wood Pencil / Branding / Brand Experience & Environments / 2015
Decades of abuse left the Pasig River, Manila's main waterway, biologically dead. Shokubutsu Hana, a personal care brand that believes in the restorative power of nature, joined the movement to revive the river. But they wanted to create more than just an ad. So, along with TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, the brand installed purifying water billboards in the Pasig. The floating systems are made of vetiver, oxygenating grass that purifies wastewater. Installed as the government carried out its removal of solid waste, the billboards cleaned the water and gave hope back to the city, whilst communicating the brand's message.
