On average, seven children are killed by guns every day in America. Pro-gun lobbyists and anti-gun groups can't agree and the ongoing debate over gun control proves to be a maddening, futile pursuit. Sandy Hook Promise wanted a more effective way to talk about guns. So, along with BBDO New York, they shifted the conversation away from guns to something everyone can agree on, the importance of protecting children. What They Left Behind is a moving 34-minute documentary that explores the tragic shooting deaths of three American children and how each could have been prevented, through mental health awareness and community, as well as gun safety.
