Transatlantic
Wood Pencil / Book Design / Book Front Covers / 2015
The novel Transatlantic connects three historic eras and several protagonists together: John Alcock and Arthur Brown and the first transatlantic flight in 1919, Frederick Douglass who fought for slaves' rights in the mid 1800s, and senator George Mitchell, one of the architects behind the peace process in Northern Ireland in the 1990s. For the cover, Superultraplus gave each of the three stories an individual visual language, reflecting every part of the book on the dust jacket. The different folding and materials help clarify the trisection structure of the book.
