Momonga Furoshiki
Graphite Pencil / Packaging Design / Packaging Design / 2014
A ‘Furoshiki’ is a square textile used in Japan for wrapping and carrying small objects. It has existed for over 1000 years, and despite its eco-friendly utility, it's widely thought of as being old-fashioned. As such we have tried to modernise the Furoshiki’s image, combining Japanese tradition with sustainability. Our design, Momonga (‘the flying squirrel’), can be used in many different styles, depending on the contents it's carrying.
