Dolina is the first artisanal beer from Burgos, Spain. The product is named after one of Europe’s foremost archaeological sites, the Great Dolina of the Atapuerca Mountains, and we decided to develop an experiential design that would allow the consumer to excavate his or her own discovery. By scratching the label one will uncover the skull of Homo Heidelberguensis. We love the idea that the beer drinker’s intuitive scratching of the label is like the actual work of archaeologists, who search without knowing if they will find anything.
