Driving data brings back Ayrton Senna’s fastest lap from 24 years ago. Internavi, Honda’s car navigation system that designs driving experiences with the power of driving data which Honda tested and perfected in racing cars of the 80’s. To tell its story, Honda re-enacted the world’s fastest lap set by Senna while qualifying for the 1989 Formula1 Japanese Grand Prix. Honda’s on board telemetry system recorded driving data of this lap. Digitally restoring and analyzing this data, the legendary lap was re-created with re-generated engine sound and lights on the 5,807-meter long Suzuka circuit.
