Kano OS is designed to open up DIY computing to all ages on the Raspberry Pi. Combining pedagogy with play, the software provides aspiring creatives with a platform to launch themselves in music, gaming and web projects. Kano OS is free, open-sourced and 50% faster than contemporary Linux distributions on the Pi. With an interface inspired by console gaming, it comes with user-focused changes including seamless setup, automagic WiFi, Codecademy, Scratch and more. It’s also received $1.5 million on Kickstarter, making it the biggest crowdfunded learning invention ever produced.
