Wood Pencil / Crafts for Design / Illustration for Design / 2014
‘American Illustration 32’ was produced in two editions: one with a printed cover by Jon Han and another with a blank cover that was hand painted, drawn or printed during a live studio session with two dozen artists. The ‘Live Cover Project’ was filmed and each original cover was documented. The studio session was an event in and of itself, celebrating the craft of illustration and the community of artists that 'American Illustration' represents. As an object, the product commemorates the value of books, print media and illustration.
