The Spanish Protectorate in Morocco
Wood Pencil / Book Design / Book Front Covers / 2014
Taking the Spanish Protectorate in Morocco as a starting point, this collection of essays deals with the relationship between Spain and Morocco during the early twentieth-century. Each jacket combines four different coloured triangles, creating the shape of a star, which is a key symbol in Arab culture and aesthetics. The triangles on the right-hand side of each design are also set to provide a sense of continuity when the different editions are set side-by-side in sequence
