Musée de la Grande Guerre
Wood Pencil / Writing for Advertising / Writing for Press & Poster Advertising / 2013
Located in Meaux, near Paris, the Musée de la Grande Guerre opened at the end of 2011. To spread its vision of the First World War, we ran this campaign in Paris around Remembrance Day 2012, which coincided with the museum’s first anniversary. Some posters were also shown in Eurostar stations in Brussels and London. The ads show photographs of wall-mounted exhibits containing messages of grave truth about our history of war. Each ad conveys the idea that war is not only about strategic plans and military strategies, but also about men suffering and dying in mud- sodden trenches.
