Rainbow
Graphite Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Sound Design for Film Advertising / 2013
Following in the Lurpak saga, ‘Rainbow’ is a more light-hearted spot to juxtapose with the previous sound design intensity of ‘Odyssey’. With the emphasis on fun, but with extremely detailed production values, the trick was to turn cleverly written lyrics into a quality singing performance from Rutger Hauer. Having achieved that, we then created a really tight sound design track, all recorded live as Foley, that would fit seamlessly with the lyrics, until we’re left listening to an intense, metronomic and intricate effects composition that acts as the orchestra to Hauer’s aria.
