WRAPPLE
Wood Pencil / Branding / Brand Expression in Print / 2013
A shop selling gift wrap and related products was preparing to open its first branch in Tokyo. We were asked to develop the branding and came up with a name that was both playful and relevant to the store’s content. For Wrapple’s logo we used a red apple to give charm and character to the brand. As a symbol, the apple is iconic and well received across generations through its association with Adam & Eve, Snow White, William Tell, Newton, The Beatles and Apple. However, the logo is distinguished by the apple’s coat, designed as a peeling ribbon – a strong and simple graphic to communicate the shop’s message.
