Twenty-six Characters
Wood Pencil / Typography / Typography for Design / 2012
‘Twenty-six Characters’ is a celebration of Nokia Pure: its design story; its distinctive features; and its value as a brand asset. It details how the typeface was designed with the user interface in mind, and how it was crafted into a contemporary typeface at the Dalton Maag foundry. This book is also design inspiration, a specimen sheet, a rough guide to typography and the tale of a global business undergoing radical change. All in all, it’s a visual treat for type lovers, and the first step in establishing a visual language in which Nokia Pure can thrive.
