This film tells the story of Michael, a man with a family, job and everything to live for. He talks about his life. As he speaks he regresses back to a younger version of himself, so that we see the extraordinary journey he’s been on. We discover that he was violent as a teenager and ready to give up hope. Then we see that he was beaten as a young boy, and had to hide from his mother’s boyfriend. We also see the positive impact Barnardo’s had on his life. Through belief and support, the charity helped turn his troubled life around. The film concludes: ‘It doesn’t have to end like it began’.
