Marbled Posters
Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / Posters (Graphic Design) / 2012
As LPF is a celebration of all forms of the printing process, virtue was made of an age-old process that was dying out, yet one which had an emotional connection with people of all ages through their early school years: marbling. Using a tinted UV varnish, a typographic message was sealed onto blank paper, so when the marbling process began, the inks marbled everywhere but the sealed area, revealing, hidden in the stock, the famous Michelangelo quote: ‘I saw the angel in the marble and I had to set it free.’
