Venice Biennale - Cloud of Unknowing
Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / Catalogues & Brochures / 2012
Commissioned by the National Arts Council, artist and filmmaker Ho Tzu Nyen was selected to represent Singapore at the 54th Venice Biennale 2011. His artwork, ‘The Cloud of Unknowing’, is an audio and visual installation piece sited in an old church, exploring the multiple roles of the cloud within art. Ho's exploration of the cloud is carried through with the accompanying catalogue. The catalogue, meant to recreate the qualities of a cloud, features film stills of Ho's current and past work and essays on a variety of translucent and lightweight paper stock, finished with rough edges.
