The Moment
Wood Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Special Effects for Film Advertising / 2012
Director Steve Rogers chose to cast a single actor to play two parts, with VFX marrying the dual performances into a single shot sans motion control. Animal Logic was given the challenge to seamlessly composite multiple preferred actions to a single plate with 2D match-moves of plates. Considering the differences of body doubles, we did a fair bit of rebuilding plates from out-takes and roto-ing extras and actors back in, with the odd morph for good measure!
