The book originated from a small promotional activity book for Cass Art, given away when someone purchased art materials in the children’s department. One ended up at Laurence King Publishing and Laurence thought it was an idea worth developing into a book. The result: an interactive colouring and activity book. Marion Deuchars takes the broad canvas of art and fills it with drawings and activities that let the reader discover what art can be, how it can be made, what it can mean and what it has meant for people through the ages.
