Keep the Far Right, Right Out
Wood Pencil / Illustration / Illustration for Press & Poster Advertising / 2011
To combat growing support for racist, far right parties in the UK, we created a campaign promoting multicultural Britain, encouraging people to think twice about whom to vote for in the upcoming General Election. Posters ran in Barking, where the British National Party was gathering support and was expected to win its first seat in Parliament. Executions consisted of graphic illustrations intended to create the look of modern day propaganda posters. Through the use of ‘negative’ space, viewers saw graphic symbols of fascism emerge from innocent election imagery. We helped to inflict a humiliating defeat on the BNP on election night.
