V&A and Me
Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / Leaflets / 2011
The idea for these leaflets stemmed from a discussion about designers’ inspirations. We decided to design personal ‘trails’ across the museum, based on notable people’s selection from the museum’s vast array of objects. We had a nice mixture of designers such as Paul Smith and Stephen Jones, pop stars (Florence from Florence and the Machine), theatre personalities (Cameron Mackintosh), writers (Jacqueline Wilson) and a supermodel (Erin O’Connor). Our early experiments in folding the A2 sized maps revealed an unusual ‘map fold’ that creates the illusion of many pieces of paper, but emanates from just one single A2 sheet.
