Top Lapel Pin
Graphite Pencil / Graphic Design / Applied Print Graphics / 2011
Lapel pins were needed for the attendees of APEC Japan 2010. For security, the pins had to show each class clearly, making the Prime Minister, Cabinet Minister, or their partners easily recognisable. We designed the pin, which is easily identifiable, to be suggestive of the spirit of Japanese hospitality, making it work as a gift for attendees. The ‘koma’ (spinning top) motif represents our wish for the meeting to move forward smoothly, and the five colours traditionally meangood health in Japan. We designed six types of pins in total.
