Wood Pencil / Film Advertising Crafts / Cinematography for Film Advertising / 2011
This film tells the story of real-life characters from Distreeto, a street skateboarding collective in Mexico City. The film follows them from dawn till dusk on their journey across the urban landscape, catching fire as they pick up speed, performing tricks and stunts. It sets out to capture both the sense of community and individualism synonymous with the pursuit. Shot by director Garth Davis, the film was made in collaboration with Los Angeles skate legend Steve Berra and created alongside two other Burn productions. The approach involved existing communities in the creation and distribution of key campaign material.
