Park House Font
Wood Pencil / Typography / Typefaces / 2010
NB: Studio was commissioned to create the identity for Park House, an exciting new development in London. We created a bespoke display typeface to hold the identity together across a variety of applications. Our inspiration lay in the building’s curvaceous forms and its architectural ribs. These two features combine to create sweeping linear patterns around thebuilding. We designed a geometric font based on a grid of lines that would twist and turn to create letter forms. As the lines overlap, we were left with a moire effect which begins to shine and glisten. With tight leading, the ascenders and descenders meet and cross over to create interesting typographic patterns.
