Grenade
Wood Pencil / TV & Cinema Crafts / Production Design / 2010
For this anti-speeding advert, the thousands of pieces of an exploded car were reassembled and suspended from wire to create an installation that visually demonstrates the impact of a head-on collision at 125 mph. The force is equal to that of 10 grenades exploding. Set to a haunting soundtrack by New Zealand musician SJD and directed by Luke Savage, the TV commercial explores the installation and is shot entirely in-camera using Steadicam.
