Christmas Stamps Miniature Book
Graphite Pencil / Graphic Design / Leaflets / 2010
The Royal Mail releases a set of Christmas stamps at the end of each year. We were briefed to design and produce a display piece to showcase the stamps, which depict the Nativity through stained glass. The piece needed to complement the miniature works of art, without overpowering them. Our solution gently illuminates the stained-glass themed stamps, while helping to place them in context. The perforated window illustrations were laser-cut into a pocket-sized concertina format that allows all seven stamps to be viewed together when fully unfolded. The stamps are accompanied by an extract from John Betjeman’s ‘Christmas’, sympathetically reproduced in silver litho.
