Coming Moon the Book
Graphite Pencil / Graphic Design / Catalogues & Brochures / 2009
Young Japanese people are not very interested in traditional Japanese culture, such as moon viewing. Our aim was to increase the number of participants in the Coming Moon event and boost its appeal. We focused on making this traditional event, which takes place every mid-September when the moon looks most beautiful, more familiar to them. This book contains images and stories related to the moon to make the readers feel like they are moon viewing. It features ‘Wolfman', who turns into a wolf when there is a full moon; 'Kaguya-hime', or the Moon Princess, a character from an old Japanese fairy tale; and 'The Space Rabbit'.
