Demystifying the subject for its audience, this short gritty drama begins with two friends sitting in a café. Akin to their streetwise appearances, they use strong urban language as one girl tells a harrowing story about a man called Don, someone they appear to know. Don has raped, committed murder and harassed a bride. In what seems to be a shocking recollection of contemporary life, a twist of narrative reveals that she's retelling the tale of an opera she's seen, 'Don Giovanni'. The aim was to move away from the elitist image of the Royal Opera House, promoting an accessible form of entertainment to a mainstream audience. The film has been shown globally in many media outlets.
