Dangerous Liaison
Yellow Pencil / TV & Cinema Crafts / Direction / 2008
The concept behind Dangerous Liaison was the development of Levi’s throughout the decades, shown through a series of scenarios. Ringan Ledwidge and his team were able to show these transitions almost entirely in camera. The film pulls you in with a strong narrative: the timeless story of love in the afternoon. Standing in an empty house, a woman in period denim overalls opens the door to her lover. Passionate kissing ensues but, as they take off each other’s clothes, more and more layers are found underneath. The style of these clothes progresses through various time periods up to the present, eventually leaving the man and woman topless, with the tagline: Levi’s. From the original.
