NZ Army Bluetooth
Graphite Pencil / Mobile Marketing / Mobile Marketing / 2008
This project for New Zealand Army used Bluetooth technology to create an interactive outdoor poster site. Bluetooth transmitters fitted to the site sent text messages to passers-by, challenging them to a mission to find an army operative in their vicinity within 30 seconds. The operative was hidden on a nearby standard poster site, camouflaged in jungle, forest or snow. When the participant located the camouflaged operative, they texted back his co-ordinates. If they succeeded, they were sent a congratulations message and directed to the NZ Army recruitment website. If they failed, they were directed to the NZ Army Force 9 training site, where further games and challenges awaited.
