Jonathan Yuen is a multi-discipline graphic designer based in Singapore; jonathanyuen.com is a self-promotional portfolio website. The website is designed as an interactive visual journey, with each segment using illustrated visual metaphors to signify the attributes of and information about the designer: his creativity, curiosity, ambition, work and observations. The metaphorical segmentation encourages the viewer to relate the philosophical concepts behind the visuals with the content. The viewer will experience a harmonious blend of the traditional aesthetics of Chinese inking illustration and contemporary digital animation in a minimalist graphical approach. It also lends a distinctive visual narrative experience to the presentation.
