The truly innovative thing about the Audi R8 Microsite is the cutting-edge presentation of the Audi R8 in the form of an interactive 3-D film. The Microsite starts with a film that shows the Audi R8 on the race track, in the city and on a coastal road. Each of the 3D film sequences is assigned a topic: Innovation, Design and Performance. The entire film was created and implemented without a real Audi R8 ever having to touch the asphalt. All scenes were exclusively developed using computers. As in major film productions, a soundtrack was composed especially for this film to strengthen its emotional impact.
