V&A Annual Review 2005/6
Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / Annual Reports / 2007
The brief was to record a year at the V&A. V&A Design commissioned a photographer and gave him access to the museum's collections, including the extensive fashion archive, conservation, new galleries, events such as Friday Late and Fashion in Motion, and private views for the Anna Piaggi and Modernism exhibitions. Full-colour coated double-page spreads are interleaved with smaller information pages printed on uncoated stock, with the image printed on the reverse to complete the spread. Spot UV is used throughout to both highlight the two different formats and to enhance the vibrant imagery. This challenging and complex publication was the result of close collaboration between graphic designer, photographer and printer.
