Award: Wood Pencil

Instead of using a conventional introduction and promotional pictures for the programme, we decided to dedicate the first 16-page section of each volume to an abstract pictorial journey of Italy which would set the mood. Each photographic set was thematically grouped, while the programme itself remained purely typographical. Subtle Italian references were made through the use of a classic serif font for the copy and Roman numerals for the pagination.
